Welcome to the official website of The Baton Rouge Tigers, formerly known as the Melrose Tigers or Mall City Tigers. Our journey in youth sports began in 1990 when Coach Reginald Bell Sr. embarked on a coaching career with the Mayfield Vikings. Wanting to expand his reach, Coach Bell joined forces with Coach Kurt Turner in 1995, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Baton Rouge Tigers with our legal identity established as The Baton Rouge Youth Sports Alliance. We take immense pride in mentoring and coaching countless young men and women. Our unwavering commitment centers around guiding and shaping our youth, utilizing the platform of sports and extracurricular activities. Beyond the wins and losses, our primary mission is to nurture character, teamwork, and life skills, empowering our players to thrive as responsible and productive individuals within a society.
