Although playing outside and excercising boost's a child's physical and mental health in a variety of ways, a heat index at or above 90°F poses a significant health risk. These high temperatures and extreme heat can cause children to become very sick in many different ways: Heat Stroke Dehydration Heat Exhaustion Heat Cramps Emotional distress Irritablilty
